Is anyone running a truck with a shorter front link setup than the rear link setup? If so, how do you like it?

i ran my tlt like that for a while. 3.5" front and 7.25" rear, it was great for going up stuff, coming down it was funny. always nosed it on to the lid. i shifts the weight forward, maybe alittle to far.

I run a set-up like that on my TXT and it works great. You will need some weight in the rear, but most of it should be towards the front.

I was thinking about doing this as well with my next chassis. You'd probably need maxx driveshafts, atleast for the rear, if you plan to run a 12" wheel base anyway.

I've done so a number of time to bias weight a little more forward. Jay |

I have had good luck running my TXT/Jugg with rear links about 2 inches longer than the front. Should work good on a TLT also.

i always make the rear longer... on everything too far will definatley make you nose dive its definately a 60/40 deal give or take. it basically puts your balance point right in front of the middle of the rig...usually around where the tranny is ...make sure you have somewhere to put the battery up front as well again you have to keep checking the balance point if your to much off 60/40 it isnt gonna work to good, coming down anyway i have 2 rigs set up like that and im actually changing my clod to that setup also its can be tough to do on something like a tlt. they are short anyway make things difficult possible though..

And depending on your wheelbase, yes you'd need maxx sliders. The pede sliders are just barely long enough for a 12" wheelbase and thats with equal length links, if you start pushing away the rear, you'll need more length. | |

All the ORCRC Bulu TLT's run the chassis forward. This is a MAJOR improvement over having it centered. Just make sure you have enough wheelspeed to come down obstacles. Ryan |
