I have been debating putting the links on the inside, but I haven't really gotten hung up where they are yet, so I haven't done it. But I like how yours looks with them inside.
Swiss cheese........mmmmmmmm

Brad,
The new skids look good, looking forward to mine;) I'm running my lower links inside the chassis, trianglulated as well with AX10 axles. Due to the width of your chassis and a few mods to the front axle, turning circle is heaps better than stock.

Yeah, I've been using that trick for years on the mtb bikes. But it comes out with a purpleish tint to it, at least sharpies do cause that's all I've tried.

I basically have a plastic on plastic "drag brake", The o-rings just helps absord the load and space everything out to where I need it to be. The brake puts a little resistance on the rear wheels, but it won't turn as tight as a rig that can dig with the rear wheels locked.

I've been running my fronts like that for a long time. The rears came in contact with the driveshaft too much for my liking. With the pede tranny, it was fine, but with the R2D it was too close.

I've since remedied this problem. I'll be posting a rebuild thread of my SW3 soon.

No problem Peter. Sorry to hear the comp didn't go your way, we've all been there at one time or another.

Default AX10 Tranny

Hey Brad, I added the scorpion tranny to my SW3 about a month ago and and pretty much mounted it up the same way as you. Looks great by the way. When I got ready to mount up the max shafts I realized how short and tiny the output shafts were and didn't want to drill them to make things worse so I ordered some of those RC4WD aluminum output shaft adapters, the 5 to 6mm I think. They slip over the scorpion output shafts perfectly and attach with a 1.5 set screw. They've held up great with no problems or clearance issues. I didn't have to shave the max yokes near as much either. I just thought I'd make a suggestion that worked for me.
Here's a link to the adapters:

Cool, thanks for the link.

I was just looking at your build, I like how you bent the sides of the chassis in.

Hi
Just wondering how you mated the MSD beadlocks to the tlt CVD'S ?
Did you drill out the centre hole to 7mm or something else

So it is safe to assume that the CVDs will poke through the rims once it is drilled out? Then washers will be needed to take up the slack between the wheel nut and the rim? I do not have these in my hand yet, but I am trying to get an undrstanding why they will not work straight from MSD without MODS??????
