The linkage angles look proper for smooth action Some of the washington guys are useing o-rings and a strong servo for a good friction brake.

I must say im jealous about the new losi body it looks even better in motion

Thanks. I took my time with the linkage knowing it would be critical for everything else to work right. It is very smooth so far, engaging/disengaging every time I wanted it too. The linkage just barely clears the body, shocks, and chassis when in and out of use. I did have to cut the bed off the body, for the servo to clear. But, it's a comp body so I trimmed it back. Good idea with the O-rings.

I'm digging the new body too. They should be available very soon.

Are you running a friction brake, full lock, neutral, all three?

I havent run a friction brake yet but from what ive seen it works good.

I setup my radio to run freewheel for a little while but didnt find too many times i wanted it instead of full lock and haveing to hit the button 2 times just seemed to mess up my focus on driveing. I find the KISS approach to work best for me

Agreed, hence the friction brake.

I had to cut the bed off my Grappler body to clear the dig servo. It's still legal (12 3/4" long) and the dig linkage clears everything, even with the body slammed. I also trimmed the sides up so they are just over 3" tall.

Great question. I think the SW would look slick with the smaller tranny.

Yup, that is on the to do list for sure. After driving the SW3 AX10 for a while, this tranny sounds like it has rocks in it even though the gears are in good shape.

The Axial trans does fit in nicely. I put one in the SW3 with TLT axles I am building last week.

Looking good like usual Bender, can't wait to see your skills improve with the dig add-on.
What am I saying, I could have waited another couple years before seeing that.

I noticed you cut the smaller lugs out of your Losi Claws.

Did you see an improvement over the stock tires?

Again, the rig looks amazing.

Thanks. Good eye, I did cut the smaller lugs off my Rock Claws. It really didn't seem to make a difference though, they work just as good in stock form.

Thanks guys.

I had to make a new dig collar for my rear shaft, because the CA on the first one let go, as I expected. I used some old threaded shock collars this time. They are aluminum, so they should be plenty durable. The shock collar slides over the female 2.5 Maxx shaft with just a little bit of slop. So, I wrapped the driveshaft in a small strip of paper, and slid the collar over it. Then applied a few drops of thin CA to the paper, which swelled up enough to hold the collars tightly in place for now. I applied JB Weld to the collars after the CA set. I also added an O-ring to the drivehaft as a friction brake for now. I've still got a few ideas for a full brake set-up if I decide to go that route too. More testing will tell.

Like I said in my PM, it's all your fault, I just added rear dig as well, I'll post a pic of mine tonight with the lock collar.
