have you guys already seen these?

http://www.girlcraze.com/brand.aspx?id=5

looks like you could use the body, wheels and tires on a VMG or something that size.

AdamF 04-25-2005 11:28 PM

Crap! Another $40 I wil have to spend! And I just got this Super Slick crawler for $20!

Plays_with_Toys 04-25-2005 11:47 PM

Nice find! I hope the tires are decent. Hmmm.... now I may have to keep that vmg.... $40? I'm so getting one.

I met the people that built and designed those over Easter Jeep safari in Moab. They said that those should be in wal-mart shortly.

jeep_boy02 04-26-2005 11:23 AM

Yeah I talked with them too. Its a company named "Nylink" or "Nylint", something like that. They are making 1/6th scale also. They told me that you could also buy them in parts, so like just the body and wheels/tires.

Naw, this thread right here is talking about a different crawler, a Nylint rock crawler, where the other thread I linked is talking about a Super Slick MT crawler from Toysrus. 2 different trucks. This is the first I've heard about the Nylint one.

I'm wondering what these Nylint trucks have for a suspension. It's hard to tell if the axles are realistic looking or not. Do they have a tranny and d-shafts? Or do they have motors on the axles?

Plays_with_Toys 04-26-2005 09:33 PM

I'm thinking motors in the axles. There are switches on each axle for some reason.

well your behind the times then. done told you it was discussed about some..

i know the one you posted was different, but the above( scorpion) is the same exact same thing here http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...light=scorpion on the site they say its a 1:6th scale, but that version has not been released yet. the one on the site is a 1:18th scale

AdamF 04-27-2005 10:34 AM

Your confusing me Jeremy. The thread you linked me to (which I have seen) is a 1:6 scale version of the scorpion. This thread is showing a 1:18 version. 2 different trucks. How does that make this post a repost? :?

Bigbadwhitey 04-27-2005 10:44 AM

Its the same Truck They just posted it wrong on the Scorpion Page .Thats a Pic of the 1/18th .

AdamF 04-27-2005 10:49 AM

OK, even more confused now.

So you say they posted it wrong on the scorpion page? So it's really a 1:18 scale, and the same Nylint Rockcrawler posted in this thread for $39.99?

Then how do you explain this quote from Magic in the thread Jeremy linked to:

"i got this email from scorpion,

The price for the complete model will be under $200, so the expectations
should be modest. This is a real entry-level to get folks excited about the
sport. Watch your local Wal-Mart this July!

Ira Chandler

i asked for specs but it didnt happen."

did you not read anything that i just posted?

they say its a 1:6th scale, but the 1:6th scale version has not been released yet. the one pictured is the 1:18th scale, which is the exact same thing in the first link in this thread.

the under $200 price is for the 1:6th scale, not the 1:18th scale.

there are 2 different sizes of the same truck

AdamF 04-27-2005 10:59 AM

OK, I understand that part now. Thats what you were trying to say.

But I still don't understand how you can call this post a REPOST. I have not seen anyone mention anything about the 1:18 scale of this truck. Sure the 1:6 scale truck has been posted, but I diddnt see any mention of the smaller 1:18 scale. Therefore, this post IS NOT a repost. It's new information.
