coverage from todays Photo Shoot. We also had a little Fun Crawl and the
SW3 worked Great on those steep drop offs.
New body looks sweet!!

Yusuke is a really nice guy, it's cool you guys got to meet him. Congrats on the magazine coverage.

Default BTA, Saddle battery packs, Body

Well I've made some changes. 1rst I made a custom BTA steering Setup
that works very nice. I had a little spill which ended the life of my yellow
body, now history! I had this one from a T-4 so I cut it alittle and it
set really low which I like. Last I went to Saddle pack 8 cell batteries
down on the axle. Getting the 2/3a stick pack off the top of the servo
helped on steep incline crawls.

BTA.....I've only seen 1 linked truck with that in person, and that was at our last comp.
I like the body, and I agree on the saddle packs helping with CG. I want to hear more about this "little" spill that took the life of your other body, Rick

I was trying a very steep climb and I made it to the top. The top had an
under cut, and I still had the stick pack on the top of the servo. Down
she came end over end. I broke an axle and snapped the body in half.
It was fun and for the fall it could have been worse. LOL

Default Shot of BTA

This is how I did the BTA I used the same links I had on the front.
I had to change the stock Tlt lower brakets to these.

Default Gone Brushless

I went with a B9 Brushless motor to take a little weight off the
chassis. I ran it at our last Comp with a 14 tooth gear, and I
had my hands full with the wheel speed. I went to a 10 tooth
and I like it now.

I have tried outrunner brushless in the past, and I am tempted to try it again. is that one of the TCS motors? if not may I ask were you got it?

I may have to keep the Sw3 (mine) from the shelf a little longer and try some of your setup ideas..

Thanks for the info and great pics.

Any better pics? I have been staring at mine for weeks trying to make a BTA steering setup work. Just cant get it around the link mounts. What link mounts are you using? Almost looks like a Junfac mount.

I am now using your setup for shifting my R2D and it is smooth as silk, especially with the teflon bushings in the R2D.

I thought I had the smoothest shifting R2d around! LOL.
Yes they are Junfac mounts with a little mod work.

Thanks for the positive comments. Everything I've done has made this
SW3 a fun build, and a very capable Comp Rig. Now if I could drive as
good as my son (Grover) I'd be ruling these rocks. LOL :-P
