Nice I know my tranny has been running for years with no issue-GD and a 55 turn. What kind of voltage are you running?

More info?

Voltage? Its a 3000 Bat charged with a superbrain. It may have been the fact that my 2 yr old nephew wedged it between to bolders and poored the coal to it. I guess i'll have to restrict him to the nylint again

put moab xl's on it. then instead of $10 gearsets you can break $10 axles. at least teh axles are easier to get to.

If you got the cash get a tranny from rc4wd and never worry about it again. Maxx trannies are sloppy for a crawler.

well.. ive bashed my txt trannies like none other and never done that.. same setup.. txt tranny with a gd600 and a 55 turn... honestly.. i ran a 27 turn stock can for the longerst time and it had more then enough grunt to move her around. The upside of the 27 turn can is that when she got bound up, it didnt have enough grunt to break anything.. but with the 55 turn.. something somewhere has to go... so.. theres you answer... if he wants to drive it, swap in one of the stock can motors first..

on my stock can i was running a 9 tooth pinion.

To be fair, I'm running 2 55t integy's through dual gd-600's. that is how I bought the thing as someone elses used project. I never bothered to count teeth. I did get to rebuild my tranny though. the new gears are still holding up through two snapped axles.

Sorry for the thread jack but Red Jim what setup do you run with your pede (motor, voltage, extra gear reduction, and spur and pinion) If you could let me know that would be awsome.

Thanks.
