Default TTR maxx wheel adapters? Anyone?

So the TTR website doesn't say anything about needing clod shafts for a TXT, but the RC4WD site says you need them. Are they the same parts? What's the deal. I just ordered these(link below) tires from Tower and want get them on my TXT. I'm thinking of either making them fit my TXT rims or Maximizer Beadlocks. Has anyone tried to make them fit the stocks rims and failed? I've seen the article on making them fit.

Not sure on the clod shafts but, I would think that they are the same as every other adapter out there.
Also, I bought the same BFTs and they make a world of difference.

Well now I just need to find someplace that has them in stock. Oh and that is cheap.

The stock driveshafts are to long but you can counter this easy by just putting a bushing that was over from the TXT kit (you did put bearings in it I hope) between the rim and the lugnut...

Sure, the TXT drive axle are longer then the clod ones and the TTR adapers use an "inverted" wheel nut (internal threads) so the nut will not thread in long enough to acually hold the tire in place so the rim will not hook up to the hex...
If you put a spacer the size of a bushing between the nut and the rim the nut can't be screwed in long enough to meet the end of the thread on the drive axle and therefor hold the rim in place...
