Looks good. You might try lowering the body down onto the frame rails and trimming the body for clearance. You will be surprised at the difference this will make while crawling.

Thanks dog. I just threw that body on there for a comparison shot. I have a Proline Jeep I'd like to mount up later on.

I created a little problem when I raised the tranny as far as I did. I had to flip the inner shock mounts around because I didn't really want to cut and weaken them. After that came the battery tray mounting problem. I modded the tray a little and added a piece of fiber to support it and it came out just fine. Check it out...

Oh, and the top tranny heatsink is still there it's just a tad smaller now. You can see it in the last pic.

GD600, rear servo mount / servo, and radio tray installed. I'll swap out the saver for a better one when it's time to run.

I need a little help coming up with a name for it... Maybe "Carbonator" or "Fiberator" I just don't know. Any ideas?

99% complete! All that's needed is to trim the fenders out on the CJ-8 body and paint it up. I got to some "crawling" this evening to test everything out and it performed much better than I anticipated. Granted I didn't have any rocks and had to crawl on a makeshift woodpile but hey, this was its first run. I hope to get some real crawling in this week and I'd like to post up a little mpg of how it does. Stay tuned... Oh yeah, it still needs a name.

I think a lot of rock rash should make that truck look just right. Keep us posted on evolution of that bad boy.

Finished product...

Inspired mostly by the "top ten" list almost every part of this build was borrowed from other trucks I saw on this site. If you see something that looks familiar I probably "borrowed" it from you, so thanks.

- TXT-1 base
- Xtreme Racing Carbon Chassis - cut (WB=15.25")
- Narrowed stock wheels
- Stock tires
- Locked diffs - epoxy
- Revo shafts
- Custom carbon servo mounts
- Hitec 615MG servos w/savers and reverser
- GD600
- Stock Mabuchi motor
- Novak Super Rooster - NOT "Supa Roosta"
- Fake beadlocks and other unimportant stuff...

I've run it at home a few times and everything seems real solid on it. No surprises or weirdness. I hope to have a chance to really crawl it next week. More pics and a mpg to follow...

Thanks. I have a mint set of Giant Tracs but I just can't bring myself to mount them up just yet. I also have a set of 40 series TXT-1 wheels that I'd like to narrow and put Moabs on.
