| New TXT Super Hustler
Hey guys, I just finished the mock up assembly of my new RCP Hustler based off of the txt axles. I built the truck as a comp truck and to compare the capability of the shafty hustler as compared to a standard clod hustler (bRIBEGuy's hustler). Specs Chassis: RCP Hustler Truck Base: Tamiya TXT-1 Transmition: Axial 2.2 with an rc4wd 3:1 reduction unit. Axles: TXT stock with cut pins and custom TLT servo mounts. Drive Shafts: Revo (rustler/ pede in the pics) Wheels: Axial Narrow Rocksters Black. Tires: Proline Moab XL's no foam's in the front, 1 inch spaced star cut rears Servo's: Hitec HS 645's front and rear Esc/Motor Combo: Novak Goat System (when it gets back from warrenty) Battery(s): Losi 7.4 volt lipo reciver batt 2000 mAh one mounted to each axle on the servo with a center harness wired in parallel for 4000 mAh capacity at 7.4 volts. Mods: Stock uper links cut 7mm on each end for a total of 14mm length reduction, skid plate drilled for axial trans. Axle c's drilled to match clod for mounting lower links. So far the truck works quite well when it does'nt break shafts (need revo's soon). So far I have bound the truck up enough to sheer off an axial output and there is no noticable torque twist in it. I still need to get a set of adaptors for the axial wheels as you can plainly see in the pics the wheels are oem TXT. The paint will be done when I get my new axial Tribal Purple lock rings in and the lexan panels will be painted pactra Grape pearl, and pin striped with 1shot Silver metallic to match the engraving on the lock rings. On to the pics. http://www.putfile.com/album/177165 I hope you guys like it. Feel free to comment on the truck all you want. |

Thanks Mark, I'm one of those guys that has an all night crawler build up before a comp lol. I just have to get the rear lower shock retainer un-stuck because I got a bum set screw and the 1.5mm didn't fit too well and stripped out. I will get it undone though.

Calgary's got a rc crawler association! Maybe I should move down from Edmonton. Where do you crawl?

goslo, The Crcrca is being set up as we speek. If you visit www.calgaryrc.com there is a full crawler section. I will have the Mod's on that sight move the "Calgary Crawlers Unite" thread to the crawler section. Back on to topic, the hustler is now finished and I have a couple updates on it. It is now running dual Losi 7.4v 2000mAh reciver packs (one on each axle mounted on the servo) I am running front and rear Hitec MG645's but I will be upgrading to better servo's soon. The wheels and tires have been mounted (Proline Moab XL's front and rear on Axial Narrow Rocksters) I milled custome adaptors for the 17mm hex to get the width I wanted on the truck (aprox. 1/4 - 3/8 per side I cant remember the exact measurement) I will get some pictures of the truck posted up soon. |

I've yet to put the rc4wd 3:1 in it but I keep twisting off revo drive shafts and I just finished breaking a rear long side axle shaft. I wrapped the revo's in fiber glass tape to stop them from flaring at the splines.
