| Axle mounted steering servos?
Anyone have any suggestion of how I sould go about to mount the steering servo on the axles? I have looked into is some and saw that the best thing to do is to mount the servo up-side down in the middle where the "top cover" screws onto the axle... Is there any kit I could buy? Or do I have to go 100% custom? |

I may start to sell a small kit with templates to make a whole steering set up for the TXT.

No need, I figured out a (quite) good way of doing it myselfe... I have about 1-1,5 cm to the front of the tires and the alu are the non-T variant so it is quite soft making it easy and cheap to replace |

Hmmmm. No offense but.....it still sticks out as far as the stock skid plate, killing your approach angles. I though you were trying to eliminate all of that? Is this what you are after? |

Trust me, it does not stick out as far as the stock skidplate...it's not that much shorter but it is enough to easily clear the wheels...mu approach angle are now >90 deg...

I believe you but I think you'd be even more pleased if you could get rid of everything between the tires. You'd be surprised at the difference when you get into some extreme stuff.

Another option if you don't want to fabricate anything is to buy a set of the Mighty Mounts from the guys at Monster Truck Parts Australia (MTPA). Check out the following thread and scroll about half way down the page: http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/PHP_Mo...ic.php?t=12057 I have a set on hand but I haven't completed the install yet. I will post pics when I am done. So far I can say that they fit perfecty and were very well made. It was also quite pleasant working with Adam from MTPA, he is very willing to help out. |
