| Martein's TXT build
Hi, Ok so I bought a TXT last week, and started to modify it. Thanks to you guys Anyway, I cut the chassis following Eeepee's guide. But I think the ride is a bit low, so I'll use different shocks. As for motor and ESC, I'm unsure what to choose really. Anyway, I got a shoppingcart @ TowerHobbies for the following, just 1 'click away from ordering them So I have it in house, after my vacation ;) : E-savage shock Set (145 mm) Traxxas yokes (LXHFY5) Traxxas Revo Shafts (LXMJG8 ) Novak Super Rooster Brushed ESC GD 600 2.5 : 1 9th pinion gear 12T pinion gear Integy V11 pro 45T rock Crawler Motor And that's it. (i got some Hitec servo's from my last RC projects I'll use for the time be, as I'm still in a test phase What do you reckon ? Oh, forgot to say I've got the stock TXT gearbox, locked diffs, front / rear. narrowed TXT rims. Last edited by Martein; 05-08-2008 at 02:37 PM. Reason: forgot to mention a few things ;) |

I dont know what those pinion gears are for (32p for the txt or 48p for the gd-600) but in my oponion, thats way to low. I have the stock 18 tooth pinion on my motor and a 13 tooth on the gd-600. Its plenty slow. According to the chart on here its a 98:1 gear reduction. I personaly wouldnt go over a 100:1 reduction.
