The bent frame looks really really nice, maybe a new alternative to cutting the bottom off? How hard was it to bend it?

it wasnt to hard we just took a torch and heated it up over a piece of wood and he hit it with a hammer we did them both just by eye and the we took them over to the table put a level to them and they were identical

Ya, I should have it back together in the next couple days. I will take pics of my progress. Just wait to see my monster links.

monster links you say? how big? i like your story on how you got the idea to bend the chassis. i was going to paint my chassis to go along with the color of my truck, but i moved a little fast for myself to do that i might do it later. did you just use an s.o.s pad to scratch it up a little then paint it?

How big you say? Well you will have to wait and see. I will be useing regular links till I fab up the big ones.

I used a 100grit sanding pad/block thing to sand the paint from the wood off. Then the metal underneath. Then primerd and painted it.

Set up to a 17" wheelbase. These links are just temporay so I can ajust the wheelbase if I don't like the length. But I think i like where its at now. I will start turning down the new links in a couple days after some more testing.

Trucks looking good... does the lower link rod ends bind on the frame at articulation?

Nope. I thought it might bind a little, but it doesn't. The shocks bottom out before anything binds. I get right at 45* arc.

Oh and there is going to be another twist put into this TXT. Just wait and see.

A new "twist"??. keep us posted.
Is your wheelbase still at 17"? Hows it working for you?
Cause when my truck was at 17", It tends to get hunged up at times when I'm crawlin' (must be the driver ). And it seemed too long anyway so I cut it back at 15.75".

It is still at 17". I likeit this long because it will just creep over everything, w/o fliping. But My center chisis clearence is probably a bit hight than most at 4 7/8". So only really get hung up on the axles. But with this new "twist" I wont get hung up on those either.

Well that twist kind of got twisted into somthing different. I was going to build some sweet links and the axles still need to be twisted some more.
