This is something i've been wondering about as well. The other day I found this website:
http://members.cox.net/jeepnsam/rc/rcjeep.htm
I read before that 1/4s wouldnt fit in stock mount. But those HS-805s fit in the stock mount location real nicely. I e-mailed him and asked if he had to do any modifications to anything to get them to fit and he said nothing at all other than a servo saver won't fit down there. This is great news for me, because I was wanting some 805s and didn't really want to relocate the mount.

By the way JasonInAugusta the thread you linked to appears to be useless... The pics don't work and it sounds like that guy built his own chassis, which didn't sound like something aubie was looking for. Not to mention that was for a Juggernaut...and this is TXT.

The other alternative is to mount the 1.4 scale servo the way that Tamiya actually shows in the manual.

Might be a stretch, but I think it'll work.

I am using a 1/4 scale servo in my TXT, I am using the stock bumper to mount it. If you look in rc4wd.com the have a picture of a setup there, I would post a picture but don't have one at this time.
