I feel Dirks '10 ways to make a TXT crawler' (or some such title) in the tech section off the mail page is a great chassis. I'm stealing all his ideas to go on my TXT
BTW, it's a proven set-up. A lot are just theories...

If your gunna go a ground up build I'd definately flip your tranny. Lowest COG you can get (almost matches a clod) you'll never look back.

More details here...

This matched with a few of Dirks tricks and you have yourself a clod crusher.

yeah i figured i get these kinda answeres form guys like you no just kidding fella's i was planing on buying a CF chasis, so im not really gonna wanna cut on it but ill probobly flip the tranny. plus i might use a mammoth tranny (the dump truck not the XTM) which only uses one motor but it faces the front of the truck, plus no need for a gear reduction box.

stock TXT tranny also points the front, just gives lower gear ratio

I don't think you'll be able to flip the tranny with the Mamoth reduction on it. The whole thing only just fits standard because the driveshafts practically touch the ends of the motors. Personally I dont see the need for the extra reduction 9t pinions on some decent motors will give you plenty of torque and still have enough in reserve to punch it up a ledge if it just cant be crawled.

im not sure what you mean by this but check this out https://home.comcast.net/~kona_joe/R...%20Gearbox.htm

the mammoth gear reduction is just a different tranny. there are no bolt on boxes that make the tranny longer.

Nomercy, you are wrong.

The mammoth gear reduction box is not "just a different tranny".

It is exactly what the guys said, a bolt on gear reduction box for the jugg and txt tranny.

oh thought that the way a mommoth dump truck tranny came. so i thought it was "just a differnet tranny"

but anyway, i belive that the mamtoth gear reduction would work on a fliped tranny. yes/no

Funny guy you are Ryan.

I bombed out on the weekend at my own event to make things worse. Dodgy motor wires caused me to not even finish the first course.
8th from 18 I ended up with, still the 1st shafty and in front of 5 clods.

Don't you worry though X the day will come, I might even plan it for the next state of origin so you can see it in person.... Where did you come in the last one by the way??

There's no reason it wouldn't work upside down it's just with this setup you don't have a lot of room to play with so you might have to sacrafice ride height to bring the driveshafts flatter or come up with something I haven't thought of. Here's what I mean.

Matt from MTPA uses a Mach 1 on his juggy. Works pretty well as far as I know. It's light weight, good shape and can be setup with or without cantys and has a fair bit of adjustability in it as well. They're good guys too.
