I used 6mm brakel/fuel line for mine and to mount the tranny I made a t-piece to screw to the tranny itself then joined that to the frame by brazing 4 triangulated braces, upper and lower on each side. Hard to get it right to start with but it's not going anywhere in a hurry. More details here. Shafted Gets a Tube Frame Just hit me up if you want better pics. |

| i built the basic cage and then shaved the tranny and clocked it, bent tubes to further brace the chassis and run past the side mounts, drilled a hole through the brace and used it to mount the chassis... here are some pics from my first tuber (scraped it) i made it wayyy too big. [IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG] i have done the same thing on my most recent project and its coming along great. i ended up bending flat stock and then bolted it to the frame. once its done i will be posting the full build pics and some video once i get it done... it'll be a couple of weeks... still waiting on parts. |

Is that tuber made of copper water line? :? Anyway, on my TXT I made an aiuminum plate that the trans and links mount to. Then the chassis is mounted to the plate. You can kind of see it in this pic. Hope that helps. |
