make a saddle pack so you can mount the batteries on the front axle that will get some of your weight low and to the front and then you can turn your tranny and get that weight towards the front

use a 18t pinion on the gd600.....that's the 2.5 reduction btw. This will give you about 177:1 Final gear ratio in 1st gear or 110:1 in 2nd gear. The Mag mayhem has more rpm's than a Lathe so you can get away with lower gearing. Works good. As fast as a slow walk with those size tires, but it has TONS of torque. Remember, you also have the option of locking the emaxx tranny in first OR second gear so you can try both to see which one you like better......or just use a servo/3ch radio to shift gears like me

I turned my gd600 down with my wifes metal nail file... worked pretty good.. makes one heck of a mess though... P.S. had to buy here a new file. |

| I'm not sure what you've got going on.... If the motor is wired correctly and the servo reversing switch is in the right position you should be going forward when you pull the trigger back. |

That will free up space in the front of the rig for your battery.

Ok, so another newbie has a question. Is it more worthwhile to get X-factor axles or the GD-600? I've decided a TXT is my next truck and I am trying to get ahead of the game if at all possible.

I would get both. Xfactor axles are wider and the gd600 will give you alot of power.

I was wondering... i have a stock txt-1 that im slowly trying to make into a crawler, i was wondering about the gd 600, i dont really like the idea of only using one motor so i was wondering if there is any way possible to fit it in with both motors? any info would be awesome. also i fried the stock speed controller and went to my lhs and they recomended i get a novak super duty i was wondering if this is any good or what would be a better choice ? thanks

"clock" (rotate) both gd600's... but be fare warned... you may break stuff with that much torque... i snapped stuff with 1 gd600 and a stock 540 can
