All you have to do is buy some Traxxas 2.5 Maxx Slider Shafts. Put them on and your finished.

ya you should get the traxxas slider pieces, they are very cheap, you can get them on rc4wd for like $16 or some incredibly good price like that.

Hey Dig, in the 10 mods article you wrote what springs are you using? I checked associated and they are too small diameter I think. I've made most of the mods now, except length and tranny raising. Which is next on my list.

At that point, I was using Tmaxx Dampers and springs, with 80wt oil.

Really the look like stock Tamiya shocks. Ok well what would you suggest for springs and oil weight? I bought some alloy shocks the other day for a tmaxx. But the weren't as smooth and had less travel though they were longer. So I returned them for a 645MG servo. DO we know the oil weight and spring rate of the Tamiya shocks?

I'm possitive I used the Tmaxx shocks. I junked the stockers day one! See my last post: 80wt. oil and Tmaxx shocks(springs) and Dampers. The stock Tamyia shocks are junk. They leak and provide very little damping. They are also very short. It is true that you will get better, smoother performance out of plastic shock, usually. Believe it or not, The aluminum will sometimes cause more friction but not enough to worry about while crawling. You don't need very quick, smooth reacting dampers during slow moving crawling but you do want effective damping. I don't know the specs on the Tamyia shocks. |

By the way.....I just realized why you thought they were the TXT shocks. I actually used the Maxx dampers and springs and replaced the ball ends and spring cups with the TXT ones. I don't remember why but I did.
