| More Power For My 1/4 Servos
Will a 5 cell 6V receiver pack give me more power for my 1/4 scale servos then 4 AA battery box. I was told that a 6v receiver pack means more power for heavy-duty steering servos and faster servo respones times for any vehicle. For one I like that you can recharge the 6v pack and do away with the alkaline batteries. Just looking for more power for my 1/4 scale servos. Hoping to increase my capacity and speed servo response...Any info would be great. |

yes 6v (5 cell pack) will give you more power than 4.8v (4 cell pack) |

Actually, four alkaline AA batteries put out the same voltage at 5 NMIH/NCID cells. | |

Well, most of the time, you will see a difference because a fully charged 5 cell receiver pack will put out slightly more than 6 volts.

just wire up a novak servo regulator and run a stick pack... it provides a constant 6v of power... I actually snapped my steering off at our colorado comp this weekend with my 805BB (383 oz).... kersnap |

So, how exactly do you wire up a servo battery? Do you just run the white signal wire to the reciever and run the pos.&neg. to the battery through a switch?

do a search on novak servo regulator and there are wiring diagrams... the regulator and the receiver must share a common ground. i wouldnt just hook up a battery straight to the servo... magic smoke may apeare before: Hey , hook up those there wires A After |
