Ha, made you look!

I was crawling on large drainage rocks today next to a creek.... flipped and crashed into the water. While I was cleaning up and had all of the electronics out, I decided to get rid of the factory electronics tray and build something more simple.

Here's the new upper radio deck (1/8" aluminum, too thick but that's all I had). You can also see the GD-600/single motor and how I mounted the battery on the links for a lower COG.

That is where I mounted my electronics until I recently moved them to the top of the battery tray.

I like it, its a nice clean look.

And I`m sure that gyro of yours helped you land on the tires and drive out of the creek too.

Man that truck has gone thru some changes since the 8th. Looking forward to see how much better it works in Oct. Looks like Clods arent my only worry now.

The truck landed on it's side in ~12" of mud and water close to main channel of the stream. I didn't want to risk it dropping off into the deep water so I killed the transmitter as soon as the truck stopped rolling. Look at the pics in my LST tire thread and you can see the creek I flopped in.

You don't have my TXT to worry about. I have the truck working pretty good but it still has the same driver! :o :?
