Default Traxxas CR-01/ Revo trans in a TXT?

Has anyone done this or thought of it? I was thinking of trying the Revo or T-maxx trans, or the CR-01. Please give me your input or pics if you have any. thanks.

The revo trans has a one way bearing in it so it won't work in reverse, and it would be really hard to adapt a motor plate. The E-revo, E-maxx or Summit trannies would be better choices. I don't know anything about the CR-01 trans.

Why not just use an axial trans? If you get the HR aluminum gears and some CDW 6mm outputs it's nearly bulletproof, and it's so small. Honestly I don't know of a better option for a shafty super, all the traxxas monster truck trannies are really big and hard to mount, plus the 2 speeds have lots of slop in them, which really sucks for a crawler.
