Question Traxxas Sliders, confused on part numbers

Just picked up a TXT-1 from ebay, the previous owner did something of a shotty drive shaft conversion. I'm looking to upgrade to a set of Traxxas shafts, but I'm not clear as to whats needed.

Need to replace from the TXT axle to the Tranny, so anything in between is needed.

Thanks for the help.

the emaxx shaft from the tranny to the rear diff should work
the part numbers that you would need for what i said above are 5151X and 5452, just go to buytraxxas.com and then on the left side type in the part numbers and they will be there

go with the revo drivelines with the blue boot on them.If you are running stock wheelbase you sould not have to cut them.

While that is true of the new Traxxas stuff, around here most people refer to the new shafts as Revos since they had them first. When they refer to maxx shafts they are talking about the older style sliders.

As said above go with Revos as they are pretty much bulletproof. You can just get two 5451x assemblies, that's all you'll need. You'll have to shorten them for a stock setup and grind a little of the yoke and the trans to get it to fit but nothing major.

The Revo shafts would be the last thing to go. Under the 17t motors or even the novak brushless I don't see a problem. I run a txt with dual titans, Emaxx tranny and dual packs and it weighs a ton and everything holds up fine. Under huge power like a mamba 7700kv the stock tranny will probably go first and then the top axle gears but that depends on setup, how you drive, and how well you take care of the gears.

mine is still a new build so no testing yet.
but like hawnmt said, i doubt these will go anytime soon!
mine will be running the dual multiplex 600s and an EVX2 with dual packs.

Hi, I used both the TXT shaft and the Revo shaft. I fitted the original TXT end into the Revo shaft. This way no mods on the tranny are needed.

With twice 17x2 this holds up perfectly so far!

The TXT-end is drilled to 3mm to fit a M3 bolt and nut. TXT uses a 2mm shaft with e-clips in the coupling, Revo: 3mm. The square coupling part (don't know the proper name) of a TXT is smaller than that of a Revo. So I bent both the ends of the TXT part outside just a bit to give some more room. Next I filed both the Revo coupling and TXT part untill they fit without binding, this took only a bit of filing from each end.

I hope this description is clear enough for you...

the reason i ask is i have a stock txt tranny and a e-maxx tranny, dont mind swapping yokes to swap tranny if i need to, without having to grind down my stock tranny. hey HawnMT thanks again for the tranny, still havent made the mounts, i am lazy. so i still dont know if it works j/k i just got other things to worry about, like chassis mounting my servo. yup no servo on my axles

Since the TXT-end is drilled to 3mm it can't be used with the original TXT shaft anymore. The hole is too big.
