Jeff.... While looking at some other pictures you have of the TXT it dawned on me that I am having a hard time seeing where you cut your Giant-Tracs. That has to be one of the cleanest/best Cut-n-Shut job out of any tire I have ever seen.

I think I can spot the cut line but then I'm not really sure. HAve any pictures of cutting the tires?

Looks killer Jeff.
Thanks Brett!

Thanks again Brett! That is my first attempt at a cut-n-shut and it was on a pair of Giant Tracs. Needless to say, I was a bit nervous. Unfortunately, I did not take any pictures during the process, but I do have a closeup of the final product with better lighting.

Thank you all for your very nice comments! Here are a few pics from my first real outing at Spring Park this past weekend. The narrowed Giant-Tracs hooked up well and maneuvered better than I remember the full-width tires working. Overall, I am extremely pleased with how well the truck performed for its first time out. I do need to do some fine tuning to keep the driver's side front tire down on steep climbs, but I think that is fixable. The pics...

The TXT "wave" that I am hoping to cure...

It made it up some tough lines from an old comp with ease and consistency...

Sweet build, very clean.

Add a little weight to the front wheels, pre-load the right rear spring, and add thicker oil to it. That'll help with the front tire lifting.

So schlabinski,

What is it going to take for you to share a template for those servo/toplink mounts? We cant PM or e-mail you directly. Share or sell the good. Nice job on your build

Awesome Job!

I just picked up a set of those traxxas big bore shocks myself, pricey when buying just four, but well worth the money in my opinion.

Did you make the lower shock/link mounts yourself or are they premade.

Just a quick question, what are you using to cover your skid, is it some kind of plastic?

Just a little bit of lexan (.040" thick I think).
