So, I guess if I wanna keep this wheel/tire combo, I'm gonna have to get some wideners on there. I figure that .5 per side should work.

Looks like you could just swap the links to the inside and the shocks to the outside of your axle mount and gain the clearance you need.

I thought about that, but then I lose some of the triangulation in the links (I don't have much as it is). Also, even though I've got ball ends on both ends of the shock, I have to watch the angle of them so they don't bind. I'll try some wideners first (when I find them), and if that doesn't work, I'll just go from there...

A few updates...

Got the upper links and servo mounts done tonight. The mounts are pretty much the same as used on LiveWire1, except I got a little lazy and ordered the three aluminum stand-offs from McMaster instead of making them...

A few pics of the artic. and the mounts...

The last pics shows my "still to be finished scorpion basher" bowing to "King Krawler"...

Actually, I had to steal two shocks from the front of the 'maxx to finish the TXT.

I'm just waiting on a motor, then it's done. I'll post the finished pics within a week.

Well, here's the finished pics. As always, I got it finished just in time for the comp at the Average Joe 4x4 comp (king of procrastination... ) I didn't even turn the crawler on until I showed up for the comp . Besides the RR tire coming unglued, and my extreme lack of patience, the truck performed very well. Unfortunately, it's pretty much traded-off now... ...so I gotta build another one. It'll probably be another 2 or 3 months 'till I get another one finished...

That frame is super thin, do you get much flex from that or does the bracing pretty much hold it steady? That is a sweet ride, I like the delrin sleeved lower links too, cool idea! Earlier in this thread you had GT's on stock rims, how much did you narrow them? Did you narrow from the chassis side or the outside of the rim? They are the same width as stock clod rims right?

Thanks for all the compliments guys! MeTom, yes the chassis is thin and does flex slightly, but the bracing keeps it from flexing until it bends. The wheels I narrowed are very similar to stock clod wheels (not positive on the actual dimensions though). On those, I basically just cut off the outer beads on both sides of the wheel.
