sell it and get solid axles, go electric, and get reduction then youll see what us "electric suckers" can do. My electric crawler will eat any independant suspension truck alive |

i know electric is better for crawling im just going too miss mud boging! but im planning on building a 1/8th scale crawler from scratch, just need a e-maxx tranny, clod axles, and lots of linkage bars! plus the electronics but i think it might even be cheaper too justbuy a used e-maxx or something then take parts off of it and make a crawler!

You must really be new Clod axles have the tansmisions and motors right on the axle, no need for a center tranny. Everyother set of axles will need a center tranny, but a clod doesn't. I would suggest twin force, TXT or X Factor axles because shafties rule. |

whats wrong about mud boging with electric? The torque of a geared down electic motor will pull so hard itll take you places you dont think are possible. shafties kick ass |

Shafties are great (your in the TXT forum ) but i think you cen never go wrong with proven parts, like clod, TXT, x-factor, twin force, many people run them and are happy. I run almost stock TXT and it can get over most obstacles, in stock form it has alot of articulation.

Savage_crawler, just decide on what YOU want and start searching this forum. I am also new to this and have learned alot just by searching and paying attention to the evolution of the shafties right now, not what used to be. | |

ok i made up my mind!! im going shafty!!!!!!! but i do have one question, i notice alot fo you guys are useing max slider driveshafts, why??? do you need that too get the full articulation or what?? becuase i thought that a good cvd set would do the trick if that erea doesent need too flex!

badtodabone, your clod can suck my crawlers shaft. good to see your going shaftie dont be tempted by the evil that are clods . We use the sliders because they need to telescope. |
