fixing the txt-1 twist problem what have people done to fix this problem?? any help would be appreciated. |
Re: fixing the txt-1 twist problem mount upper and lower links on same mount, double triangulation, different shock mounting setup as far as i know |
Re: fixing the txt-1 twist problem Yep, and lengthen wheel base. Use a heavier oil and spring as well. Lower ride height if you are using cantilevers. If you are doing all these things, you will eliminate the twist by about 90%! |
Re: fixing the txt-1 twist problem anyone have a pic of how you can mount the uppers and lowers together? |
Re: fixing the txt-1 twist problem thanks guys anyone have a pic of how you can mount the uppers and lowers together? and how long should i make the upper and lower links to extend the wheelbase? does the driveshaft need to be longer also? |
Re: fixing the txt-1 twist problem There are pics every where! search and you will find. |
Re: fixing the txt-1 twist problem yeah i know. i also did run heavier shock oil in the back right. but my friend had my txt for so long when he made the servo plates that i forgot which weight. the truck still flops around like its having a seizure. what is the stock oil weight that comes with the txt? and what does everyone run? |
Re: fixing the txt-1 twist problem Im actually running 70 weight if i remember and losi red springs. the twist is barely noticeble. ( im running losi threaded shocks with the spring perches pretty close to a 1/4 of the way down to the end near the shaft) the ride is still soft enough for the jumps, yet gives me good articulation still over rocks/curbs/neighbors kids etc...I might pour some 100 weight and orane springs next to see how it goes....good luck with your TX. |
