So I finally got the body painted and it turned out terriffic IMO for my first paint jobby! here are a couple pics of it(one with a mocked up "stinger" type bumper)

here is a second spot I found to go crawlin(its small, but has great technical lines)

now for the crawl shots!

the same spot, but from the front. - look at that air time!!! (about 9")

here is a sqeeze that I found

I think its too tight! 8O

Thanks for the props buys - I have switched my Suspension around again and directly mounted the shocks to the axle so it sits a little lower and I got more travel now so some new pics are coming soon.

Nice rig. Real nice.
Is there any way I can see how you went about the chassis an suspension mods.
I'm gettin as much info before I hack an chop my lil piece of wrongness as I can.
Though maybe some one could put up a link or something?

Chassis shots will be up soon, but I dont have the canti setup any longer. I got the idea from kona_joe's rig so you might look there. It really is pretty simple to do and what I liked most about it is the frame is cut where it is completely flat, and nothing hangs down except the tranny. the skidplate looks like this: \_/ , and there is a puddle of "JB Weld" as the lower mount. The only thing I do not like about this setup is that since the cants are moved outboard and the links are moved to the ends of the axle it really limits your travel, but it is super stable. you also cant use the stock body mounts so you have to use your head and fab up a mout with some straight posts. But if you go with a direct shock setup(no cantilevers) then you can still move the tranny all the up and use the stock body mounts. Thats how I have it now and it is the best so far. I now have a very good amount of artic.(scored 1000 on 30* ramp) and it still is stable.

OK well I got some more pics for you all. Since Imageshack goes down too much I dont use them and I feel that CarDomain takes too long so untill I find a decent hoster for pics you'll have to look here:http://www.rcpics.net/member/jeep_boy02

If anyonw wants some close-ups let me know and hopefully tommorrow I will get some action shots at my new spot(if it aint rainin)

not bad, I see the shocks pivot more than compress. I would change one thing. Your lower link bolts that mount the skid. I'd flip them over and countersink the screw heads, that way you wont get hung up on them.

EDIT: I don't why the pic won't work. Oh well I tried.

Thats on the list, but I want to get some hiems first and there are a couple things to do before those are in the #1 spot.

You can't remote link RCPics pics.

I like what you got, makes me take a look at my truck, and want to dig in! AGAIN!

RCKJEEP - I saw the pic before it went down. I like to see your craftsmanship, its so professional. One thing though, what are those screws for on your skidplate? the tranny? they look too far inboard for link mounts

They're braces for the tranny. Limiting fore and aft movement.
