sweet! nice rig. you should try raking your shocks back a little bit more, you would prolly get a little bit more articulation.

Good start to a nice truck.

Some more things you need to do:

1. Move the battery to the front and lower it
2. Get rid of the lower skid mounts under the axles
3. Fix your caster
4. Install a skid plate
5. Cut your tires
6. Install a gear reduction (if you haven't already, can't tell from the pics)

Looks like you are well on your way to having a kick ass TXT. I hope you take this as constructive criticism and not negative feedback.

I look forward to crawling with that next weekend.

on basically every truck with a lift you always set your axles with a little tilt. if you dont you ruin ur u joints as dave said or you can hang your third member up on any obstical which is a lot worse than a couple dings in the cover or underside.

The dings are nominal. The only loss is steering, the truck wil have VERY aggresive steering and when you try to turn, it will try to roll over (think of which way they are pointing) But for slow speed stuff, hardly matters. Even for high speed stuff its not a huge deal. You won't get as much return to center either, but the servo takes care of that (unlike in rear cars which depend on the tires leaning back to straighten the wheels out)

I disagree. I would rather have my tie rod higher up out of the way and also with bigred's current caster his servo is more exposed.

I am not saying go crazy with the positive caster, I just like close to neutral caster because it does not strain my ujoints that much and my servo and tie rod are higher up out of the way.

In the 1:1 Caster should be between 2-7*positive caster not negative. Red's setup has negative caster. No Good.

In RC it probably doesn't matter that much. Pinion angle doesn't matter because you aren't driving fast. But stock TXT is at 0* if I'm not mistaken. When I lengthened mine I kept the 0* of caster for steering clearence.

I guess thats a good point too. Thats never really been an issue for my clod because my servo is generally all the way on the upper axle braces

I can see where your judgement could be cloudy... since your dealing with a clod.
