Hey guys I'll get a pick up tonight. nevermind I found one online A guy a work gave me a set of shocks. I think they're for a T-maxx or other 1/8 scale nitro truck. But they are sweet, the shock shaft is 5mm thick. they've got reseviors and are all aluminum. Smooth as butter too. Man they are sweet. I think I'll be following Badgers lead and ditching the canti's. |

Those shocks are sweet looking! How long are they, and how much travel do they have? They look like about the same size Integy max shocks I am getting except for the HUGE SHAFT. 8O |

So I temporarly mounted the front's. They're a little stiff and I need to move them inside the frame. |

They look like Progressive Suspension shocks. Expensive, but strong

alright I got the rears on last night. They don't seem to be in the way but I lost a ton of flex. The truck sits lower due to a little sag in the shocks. I think I'll try running thinner shock oil (currently @ 40wt.) and the springs are progressive so that doesn't help. I'll try getting some of the softest assoc. springs this weekend. what color would that be anyway?

I don't think you want the softest springs, I had to put stiffer springs on my Assoc. shocks and preload them to get the right ride height and firmness to keep the torqe twist down while allowing for the shocks to compress in articulation. It also depends on how you mounted the shocks. Being a rookie in the crawling scene, I am sure you will figure it out. |

I think they are the green ae springs. They are very soft so you will need preload spacers on them but you will have a very linear suspension setup almost no progression ive run them for a while and i like it. I love the size of the shaft how much do they go for new?

Correct they are Progressive EDC-2 shocks. The shafts are so large because they are actually 2 shafts. The main 3mm shaft and a sleeve. You can adjust the dampening of the shock by rotating the spring cup. without changing pistons or fluid.

that would explain why are all not the same. I lost SO much flex. I'm not sure what to do mount them in the stock location or keep trying new locations.

Make sure the shocks are not hitting anything during the compression cycle. I had to cut some of the sides off of my battery tray to eliminate the shocks from hitting it which made me loose articulation.

Alright since I lost all my flex I installed the shocks in the stock location. And now they shocks are too soft. go figure the effects of leverage. I'll try and test it tomorrow. Hey Wheels wanna show me that mini hammers trail tomorrow after work?
