I have the upgraded 2000 tranny case and parts that Tamiya sent as replacements after the failed Jugg 1 was released. I have assembled the 2000 tranny (Jugg 2) and it is installed in the chassis as I continue the build. I see that the TXT-1 has a 2001 tranny. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the 2000 and 2001 models? Would I be ok using what I have or should I get the 2001 case and upgrade it? I already know the difference between the Jugg 1 to the Jugg 2, but not the TXT-1.

Jugg 2 = TXT-1 (as far as transmission and axles go). If I'm not mistaken the TXT has different central drive shafts since it has lager articulation, but I'm not sure about that.

From what I found, it appears that the 2001 TXT-1 tranny has a larger 6mm output shaft riding on larger bearings and the shaft ends are drilled. I have the 2000 Juggernaut 2 tranny which uses a 5mm output shaft and a smaller bearing with non drilled ends. Not sure about any difference with internal gears?

I know 2 wheel drive trannys are not the same because of the output shaft but if you just want the case then it shouldnt matter should it???? img/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif/img
