Hey guys. I'm needing two of these covers for my TXT axles. Not even sure what they are called really. Axle case top covers???? Anybody know where I can find a couple of them?

Unless Rockcrawler or someone else has some spare ones laying around, you have to order the entire axle case bag to get that plate from Tamiya.

Tower hobbies has the complete axle with link mount top cover. I recently bought a few sets just to have as spares since the truck is now discontinued. The transmission is now discontinued at tower, but still available on ebay.

There is a two part plastic epoxy out that remains slightly flexible. Forgot the brand, but I once use it to repair a broken gearbox on a quarter scale monster truck and it worked great. You may be able to fill the space around both posts with the plastic epoxy and use an aluminum top plate that connects both link posts. I bought a set of them from RC4WD website. Make sure to roughen up the plastic surface with a dremel before doing the epoxy repair.

Do you have the piece that broke off? If so, use plastic epoxy to hold it back into place. Then find a metal collar or ring that will fit over each post to help secure it. Kinda like using shrink tubing over it, but metal instead. You understand my idea?

much of the tamiya parts are/where made of ABS plastic, same stuff used in sewer pipes in the US. in the cases where the part IS made out of ABS, just get a little can of the pipe glue at your hardware store, maybe pick up a small bit of the pipe its self and use the 2 items to glue/repair what you have. Learned that LONG ago when my 1st gen Grasshopper was crushed by on coming full size traffic.
