I need suggestions for a steering servo...

Hi all,

I am about to trade for a TxT-1 and I am looking to replace the steering servo. I am new to rc cars/rc crawlers, so I need some suggestions. "thumbsup"

Thanks,

Brent

I run 1/4 scale HiTec 805 BB servo's. I have tried a few 1/10 scalers and was never happy with the power. These are very large servos and do require a lot of fabricating to mount them.

Normal 1/10th scale servo should work fine. Maybe use two of them, or some leverage building linkage? I have built a few super rigs running big tires and have got away running the cheapo Tuborix MG/BB/HT servos. They work great when they work at all. Worth the gamble to me for less than $10ea.

On my last truck I ran Moab XLs on 40 series rims. The servos were HS645mg and they were fine. If you got stock tyres you will need something stronger.

Nigel.
