Default t maxx shocks mounted in stock position?

I thru some stock t maxx shocks on my txt, just cause i read that the stock ones were junk. How do you get the top of the shock to mount? That brass tube doesnt really fit nicely, i mean it works, but its sloppy.

I use associated shock bushings
