Standard servo is a little weak.

I'm using a Hitec 625MG servo. It does turn all the way left and right (on 2.2's) but not all that quickly. I'm generally satisfied with this servo over a standard Futaba S3003.

I would look for a servo with a bit more tourqe then the traxxas 1, use a servo with @ least 15kg of torque or more"thumbsup"

I have a HiTec 5955 on the front of mine, it works OK, until you have a wheel bound up, then it wont turn it either. If you have the diffs locked, you are fighting all 4 wheels when you turn, with no differential action, the tires will have to scrub.

ok now i got a servo but before it got here i drove my truck and i have been haveing very terriable chassis twist when i go in reverse or forwards what do i change i think i have a 13 or 14 tooth pinion and a 55t lathe motor i also dont have the little arm like things that went on the bottom suspension links what do i change or mod to fix this

Thanks,

Chassis twist is completely normal- stiffer springs and/ or a different suspension setup may help. What are you doing with the truck exactly- planning on modding it into a crawler or just general bashing around? The 'arm-like things' are sway bars to reduce the tendency for the inner wheel to lift when turning.

Have some inspiration for mods...

thats if bashing is your thing, otherwise you have alot of reading to do on the subject of crawling- lots of threads with great info ( they wont read themselves :ror: )...

well kinda of multiple things i need to get rid of the tourqe twist now cause its bad and i know it will always be there but i will be doing lite crawling and mostly trail driving/crawling
i heard something about moving your upper links to accommodate for this but cannot find any pics to see what they mean by moving the links up
