i dont know if its just me ... but i find the GP3700's cooler even after long running periods. havent really tested a it on any of my crawlers (been running my drifters lately) but the 3300 really has a higher temp after running em.

EP's 14'r Overall the truck is sweet. At that GTG it made everything the TLTs did, and made it look easy. It also followed a Super sized comp TXT with 4WS and a 65 turn lathe with a GD600 with no problems. And at my testing grounds there's some stuff it can't do, but only because it's a little short sometimes. But it's fun that's for sure. Stu, of course I know you've been busy, when aren't you? And I love that thing, and hope to see it soon. Though I did just move the Revolver into the TLT for some trying outing. | |

Here's how sweet two 35 turn Integy lathe motors look. With the 9 tooth pinions they're a little slow, but they definately have good power. I forgot how good two motors are at drag braking. Instantly noticable is the weight up high compared to the lightweight Revolver motor. Last edited by EeePee; 08-12-2006 at 08:35 AM. |

As I sit around and wonder what this truck would be like with the tranny flipped back over so it's upside down I am always impressed with the way it drives as is. So I haven't flipped it yet. When I originally had it flipped the motor gets beat on nicely, as there isn't a skidplate, and it hangs very low. I figured it was no worse off than a motor in a Clod, and those get beat hard. But the motors look pretty sweet through the windshield. |

I've run a few different motors, including using the GD600. Most recently it's got two 35 turn motors in series. And it works great, maybe the best yet. Before it recieves a complete makeover, cough brushless pede tranny cough torsion stick cough 4:1 axle gears (!!!!), I took a picture. Total old school, 14'r with big ol' Giant Tracs. And if everything falls through, the next incarnation should be pretty sweet. |

Thanks EeePee, this thread on your 14'r is one of the reasons I pulled the TXT off the shelf and did my 650 project. I took your 14'r idea and put it to a scale build.
