Default TXT-1 - wheel options?

I know this is a somewhat newbieish post, but it is TXT-1 related, and I'm hoping for a little patience here What I'm wondering is, I know that the TXT-1 uses some sort of funky hub, and not a hex like most monster trucks use ...right? So can that hub be removed and replaced with a more traditional hex, allowing other wheels to be used? Or am I just smoking crack here, and it *does* use the standard MT hex? If it's not quite as straight forward as changing out the hubs for the hexves, what have people done to accomplish this?

(PS: yes, I searched this one - I got nothing useful)

actually theres a hex a 12mm one under the "hub" i think you can put different wheel there just to put some kind of spacer cause otherwise the nut wont reach the wheel, and it wont stay there. Hope it helped

Yea, I think that helps. If there's a hex there, then there's a pin through it. And if there's a pin through it, then any other hex will work if you can shim around the axle and the pinslot in the hex to make it work. Thanks.

Nope! The stub shaft and brass hex are splined, there's no pin.

I use some of Ace's aluminum adapters with Maxx wheels on my TXT-1.

Use wide offset Maxx wheels and your track width will stay about the same as with stock wheels.

Nice! This is exactly the sort of thing I was looking for - it's good to know that when I get my hands on a TXT-1 I'll have some tire/wheel options available.
