I picked up this TXT project back in '08 for something to do over the winter. Soon after that I bought a house an the truck never got touched! Finally sat down with it recently an started putting things together.

Here's the cut chassis with stock links and Integy MR11 shocks sitting on stock axles. Locked rear, LSD front and trimmed knuckles for a little better steering.

This shows the material I shaved off the transmission end of the Revo shafts (only really needed on the motor side; for the back end you can just trim the heatsink.)

Apparently I'll be running two different types of Losi Claw MT's. Bought all four at the same time but one set is the original and the other is I guess the newer style (with voids in the larger lugs.)

You tell me, 550-size or 700? :twisted: Lookin at the RC4WD 2:1 reduction either way.

Does that thing bolt up, or do you need to make some holes?

Oh man, how about that motor plate with only one motor? What was that? From a dump truck I think? Didn't that transmission have a different gear ratio, also?

With the 700 I'd need to enlarge the main hole and the adjustable screw hole on the motor plate.

I've got the tires mounted up on Maximizers with a 1/2" offset. Same part# for each tire set but you can see the difference:

The foams are much softer in the new set. I cut both sets before really thinking about it, but I *probably* should have left the soft ones at their stock width. Pictured are the firmer ones; ~1/4 cut off the width and ~1/4 cut off the thickness on the inside.

I just realized this last night - 1beatjeep made me servo mounts for this truck. He also made mounts for my first TXT back in '05! "thumbsup"

Got the servo mounts installed and made links from 5/32 threaded rod, 1/4" OD tube and Revo ends.

Got a 2.5:1 GD600 coming along with some other goodies. "thumbsup" That may be easier to mount the 700 motor up to. With a 15T on the motor that'll give me an 85:1 ratio.

Excellent. I feel like it's 2005 all over again. I took my TXT (parts) out of its box two nights ago, to look at it. I spent quite a while reminiscing about my early days of crawling. I had a lot of fun not knowing what I was doing.

Man you ain't kiddin. There's a few differences, but the way I'm going this one is nearly identical to my original TXT!

I originally planned to put battery trays on each side of the chassis, but decided to so with a single TwinForce tray secured to the stock swaybar that's mounted on the upper links. It might not need it but I'm thinkin about feeding the motor with 7 cells of 5000mah. Haven't quite figured out where the electronics box is going.

This is what started crawling.This is what it is all about.Fun fun At 1 time i had 4 txt crawlers.But thing have change.1 super size xfactor txt chassis 8 1/2 tall tires This was badger biggest hater it took the first Nor cal comp.

Good news is the GD600 came; got the shaft turned down and tweaked things so 75% of the motor sits below the top frame rails. It's off-center but not bad at all. Bad news is while drilling a hole I managed to damage two teeth on the main GD600 gear, so I get to buy a new one.
