TXT tranny options

I can pick up some TXT parts at a reasonable price. It's basicly a whole truck, sans tranny, drive shafts, and servo mounts, and I understand the stock servo mounts are terrible anyhow. I know I can use T-maxx slipshafts to replace the driveshafts (prefered anyhow), so here's my question:

What options do I have for replacing the tranny that isn't included, and how much work is involved in it. I noticed tower doesn't sell the tranny, I was wondering if any other trannies worked on the truck, or if anyone had an extra tranny laying around they wanted to get rid of. Thanks for any input yall can offer.

You can always buy the parts trees to make a tranny from Tower, or buy it used somewhere.

Get a used one from eBay, or put in an Emaxx tranny with custom mounts.

And expensive. And lately, you'll be lucky to ever get it. That'll give you an idea of what to get. Look around, eBay, or the forum's Buy/Sell/Trade area for a better deal.

I noticed it was expensive - thanks for the other tip too though. I'll dig around. I may end up making some of those parts myself, depending on how bored I get.
