| Clod vs. TXT steering question
Hi all! I have a general question regarding TXTs. I have owned a Clod and I always had the problem that the thing would take half the width of my not very large yard when turning! :( Is the TXT's turning radius any smaller, or is it about the same? -redmike |

Sounds like you only had 2WS with your clod. With 4ws setup on my TXT I have roughly 7 - 8 feet turning radius. With 2WS I would have to use my whole yard. |

It would also depend on whether your locked up or not. I am guessing your are, so 4ws will get you a tighter turning rig |

Thanks for the help guys. It was 4ws, but I guess I was just hoping for better than 7-8 feet. |

this will improve your steering to where you want it to be. Just grind off the little nubs on the steering knuckles and make sure your servo is throwing the arm far enough.

SR5Dave, What have you done for a set-up to go from the 7ft of some trucks to your 2ft? |

As for how my truck turns so sharp: Cut Steering Stops 200 oz-in servo's VERY well tuned steering F&R Steer VERY Well Tuned steering (important); with some toe out to cause at least a nuetral ackerman angle at full turn. Its also setup to when my servo is turned all the way, my tires are on the bumpstops. And if you floor it it will lift up the front inside tire and turn super sharp.

Just building my TXT and don't plan on doing 4ws, but have this same concern if I cut the stops off of the uprights. Anyone tried this??
