You need to shorten your upper links to fix your caster. It should be set at 0*. It will help keep your steering from getting bashed in.

THX rckjeep for the heads up!!
i took the truck out yesterday and was very dissapointed with its performance the WB is too short..........and so on
I tore it apart last night and i think i have it all situates the only thing that is killing me is chassis torque it wanted to flip over backwards alot on an incline...........is this the nature of the beast? or is there something i'm missing?

Combo of cantilevers and being a shafty. If you lose canti's and mount shocks directly to chassis and axles that'll help alot. You'll lose some articulation but don't sweat it. Longer WB helps too, try to keep heavy components (batts, motor) as low, in chassis, as you can.

Re: "CRAZYHORSE" project in the works

thanks for the help bender i will try these things out and see what happens i have a 14" WB now, is a 16"WB pretty much a good all around
setup i have noticed that almost all the trucks on here have a 16"+ WB right now its all trial and error to see whats gonna be the best avenue for the horse..........................

Thanks again
John

Well man, I love the body but you really need to do something about those 40's. I think they look really bad compared to the cut stock clod tires. I have no room to talk because I have 40's on my txt but mine are nice and scratched up so they go unnoticed kinda. My w/b is at 16 inches right now and I really dont have a problem with torque flex and my truck climbs really well without trying to flip over backwards. you can always put a few preload clips on your rear right shock to try and lessen the roll. I did that before and it seemed to help a bit

minitrucker 02-12-2005 10:42 PM

oh and I am still running cantilevers

twisted84toyota 02-13-2005 08:43 PM

THX for the input
but the 40's are not going any where as far as the junk cut clod tires
i'll run the MOABS they suit my crawling enviornment better!!

twisted84toyota 03-06-2005 04:17 AM

We ll i have sad news i have decided to retire "crazyhorse" and move on to a new project i now have a stock TXT chassis w/cants,TXT axles, narrowed outbacks,moabs,X-factor shocks,E-maxx tranny,GD 600,super chicken, magnetic mahem,Pro-line MGT '05 F-150 body..............but it has no name as of yet!!

But "crazyhorse" may live on in another project!!

MoabCrawler13 03-06-2005 10:36 AM
