Default Question about narrowing wheels

Has anyone thought about narrowing their wheels this way????

By cutting the outer flange off (just like they do with Clods wheels) and then knotching the ribs in the stock TXT wheels to where the tires would sit down on the back side of the inner flange.

I was just looking at RCAlloy's and it came to me. Not sure if anyone has tried this, but I might give it a try when I get around to it and see what it would do.

I thought that was the way everyone did it. I didn't notch the ribs though, I ripped them out (literally) with some needlenose pliers.

Well, if you knotched out the ribs, then you could kind of simulate some kind of a bead lock.
