Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! I like the body. Don't care for the wheels and tires. They can be changed though. Hopefully they beefed up the gears. At least parts should be readily available in time. |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! I am digging those piggy back shocks too, they look functional by the diagram behind them. |

Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! So... new chassis side plates, body and wheels/tires? |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! ...and new shock setup. I like it! |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! I'm curious on price and release date. |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! Aside from the wheels and tires, I like it! Must have been the Farm Wheelie gang in charge the wheels on this one. Hopefully the chassis is a bit lighter. The chassis on the TXT is a work of art, but it's thick and heavy - far more than it needs to be. Broke a lot of stuff on my TXT, but the chassis never budged. A nice surprise anyway from the Tamiya gang. Wasn't listed on the next months releases, so I suppose it will be a while. Guessing around $450-500 when it hits the shops. |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! SWEEEEEEEEET! And it looks like the same old axles... Awesome! Parts!"thumbsup" |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! Maybe I'm too harsh, but I am NOT impressed with it. I think that they pretty much ignored what performance modifications people have been doing to improve upon their old design and instead all they really did was change out the body, wheels and tires and put vertical shocks. It looks more toy like and cheesy cheap. Hopefully I will be completely proven wrong, I want to see how it performs. To me the bar was not raised. |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! I agree with OSRC about the tires and rims but looks like i can put the clod tires on. Looks like 2013 is going to expensive. Was looking at a Wraith until the Twin Hammers came out, now between this and the Ground Pounder, will have to see reviews and running videos. |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! Yes,hope parts fit!!!!! |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! I'm glad Tamiya is keeping us Monster Truck enthusiasts happy! I like it! minus the wheels/tires... |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! Make the plastic dye able white and put the old wheels and tires on it. Easy gravedigger build! I like it. Ive been wanting a txt for a while now. |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! Da Fuq.... This is just terrible, exceed and other cheap brands do better then this. |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! Any word on this update? Only saw listed in tower hobbies as late May for 499.99, but no new pics or info listed. |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! I was looking at the frame of this and the old TXT-1 they look close to being the same ( i'v only been able to look online i dont have a TXT) does anyone have a TXT-1 that can look at the frames and see if they are close was thinking of getting this truck and useing the old frame for it. Any thoughts on this? |
Re: Tamiya's TXT-2 shown at the Toy Fair in Germany! I just got rid of my TXT-1. The frames should be interchangeable. |
