TXT Pounder Hey guys picked up a new truck from Will G on rcmt.net....Its a custom TXT Pounder....Will built this truck last year around this time I think and I remember following the build and said to myself if he ever sold it I would buy it.......well he finally listed it and I grabbed it just as fast lol...He did a great job building this truck and its ready to race or bash...Its setup with a really low stance and the aluminum trans flipped to lower the COG with Revo shafts installed.. He custom cut the aluminum axle guards and made a custom servo mount and rear lockout. It also has custom cut braces for the trans and battery placement, as well as braces going along the top of the chassis for added support..All the red is anodizing from Mike Hesse. I added the rc4wd wideners and TXT wheels w/Rumbles from my Diablo and it looks really mean now. Going to swap out the shocks for the Gmade XD piggybacks (from the Clod Pounder) and I ordered a Castle MMP and 2400kv motor to give it sum GO POWER!.......but enough yappin, here are sum pics... http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/...psa60ff2a5.jpg http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/...ps73275d38.jpg FRONT AND REAR AXLE http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/...ps973a7774.jpg http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3fbf0e55.jpg TRANS AND REAR LOCKOUT http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5bcef831.jpg http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/...psa9cb7d71.jpg BIGFOOT BODY ON FOR LOOKS http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/...ps45fa190e.jpg http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1b39d313.jpg |
Re: TXT Pounder I will be getting the main chassis and cross braces powdercoated black but I will leave the links, trans and braces red. Ill take sum more pics as soon as I get that done. Body will either be Barbarian or Stone Crusher. |
Re: TXT Pounder Awesome. Eddie at CrawlerInnovations and I were just talking about doing this a few days ago. He bought my Wraith MT and wants more MT's! Thanks for the post. |

Re: TXT Pounder Looks like you guys are having a great time. We're still too cold and have some snow left yet. |
Re: TXT Pounder Oh yea we have tons of fun every race....no crazy strict rules, just a few restrictions on vehicles...no Truggys, Buggys or SCTs...soon we will have a tire requirement because you always have a few who want to cheat lol |
Re: TXT Pounder New heart for the TXT... http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/...ps915675b2.jpg Also finally got around to doing this to the trans...because its flipped I had a lot of dirt and rocks get in the gears..so I cleaned them up and added the cover..Ive seen TXT-2.0 and a few other guys do this.. http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/...psd3710b35.jpg |
Re: TXT Pounder I've used that myself. Another thing I do is cut out a piece of lexan into a circle and use that to cover the hole too. Doesn't cost anything. Most people have lexan scraps around. |
Re: TXT Pounder Got the wires soldered on...I still suck at it but I'm getting better http://i1158.photobucket.com/albums/...psb2a8cf9b.jpg |
Re: TXT Pounder Ran into a snag with the sensored setup but got it to work.....for now lol. Gonna go with the sensorless Tekin 358 before Diggers Dungeon race. Even after gearing the 8.5t higher, Im still missing the top end speed I want. I tested 1 of the 358s I have in there and its perfect. So Ill put the 8.5t in my lil stadium truck.. |
Re: TXT Pounder Sweet looking truck! Looks like a lot of fun! |
Re: TXT Pounder Dammit......the photos have all been removed :( or at least I can't see them |
