Heard of new release of the txt2 so,there will be parts for jug2 axles!!Want to turn a dusty jug2 into a scale crawler, how do you lock and semi lock the diffs?

Yea gb weld for locking, or hot glue. I've used 300k weight oil for limited-slip in the front end of a couple trucks and that worked pretty well.

If You don't mind replacing all gears every 5 runs, go ahead, lock-em. JB weld will do fine.

However, keep in mind that part of the gears in the axles are pot-metal, and cannot take a lot. Ripped mine apart with a high-torque 570 brushless, and that on only 2s. The top-gear in the axle was completely stripped of teeth, and the diff internals were seriously scrambled. I won't dare to think what would happen when paired with one of those 12-pole Holmes monsters on 3s

Personally, I believe the TXT/Jugg makes for a lousy crawler. Too big, too cumbersome, too prone to breakage. Only when full steel, or aluminium parts can be sourced, will it be useful. And that can get pretty expensive, pretty fast.

But, that's just my opinion.

The TXT is a unique truck, they have some weak spots but they aren't as delicate as the above reviewer makes them out to be.

Agreed, I'd rather tinker with my TXT and make it a crawler instead of just going out and buying a ready made crawler (Think Axial) - Axial makes a nice kit don't get me wrong - but a custom crawler to me is more impressive than something that completely comes out of a box.

Well Maz, my daugther is almost 2! :lmao: Time is a 4 letter bad word just like TXT1 - haha - Heck my Grizzly 450 ATV has been broken since July.. and I finally fixed it last week!

But keep hasseling me Maz .... unfortunately the answer is NO..... I moved back in April - I still don't have my shop built. I still need to un-"F" a bunch of electrical wiring in the basement because if you look above the dropped ceiling it looks like a spagetti bowl!
