Hi guys, Please take a minute and tell me what you think the TXT-1 would benifit from Is it lacking in articulation, too top heavy, wheelbase too short, weight an issue, wasted torque, not fast enough, turning need more radious The TXT-1 is the best crawling truck out of box ever made, most people still prefer the looks of the juggernaut but the suspension of the TXT-1. Would a half tubed TXT-1 be of interest An expensive chassis with outragous suspension A TXT with the tranny gearcases moved 2/3rds forward A single motor replacement that outperforms the stock pair and lessons the weight. Simple kit with longer links and softer springs What can we do to this sweet ride Throw out some ideas, I don't own one of these awesome trucks yet. I am going to buy one when I can, so give me some ideas. I really like the stock ladder chassis and scale driveshafts. If anyone has an idea post it, no matter how silly it seems..... :P

A stock TXT with very very minor tweaking can have to MUCH articulation... Stock TXT-1, locked diffs and Kyosho ball-ends on links everythig else basicly stock: ![]() This TXT crawls very well! It'll go a bit past 90* articulation and it has a trick feature to raise and lower the front end for going up really steep climbs.... I can't let the secret out on how it works A TXT with a reduction unit, a single Mag Mayhem, locked diffs, high torque servo(s) and properly placed links can go many many places. It's a great platform for building a crawler.

These Oregon pictures are really starting to get to me..First sandy beaches, now a stream with rocks and green moss growing everywhere...... 8O I think those txt's need longer links and a battery relocation, maybe to the front and a bit lower, yet still out of site.

Lock Diffs, 15" wheel base, Narrower Tyres, Relocated Servo's, Upsidedown Tranny, 8 Shock setup = Clod competitive climbing ability with no torque twist. Definately great out of the box but still have heaps that can be done.

Toyofast, anyway you can post up some more info on that TXT. Or is the owner on this board? I am already planning to have the front move up and down on mine, and I think he may use the same set-up I will be using. I am slowing getting mine together, and things should go a lot fast now that school is not in the way

I think the most important things you can do to a TXT is, 1. lower the ride hight. 2. Cut the chasis for center clearance, 5 inch minimum 3. Remove servo gaurds and convert to conventional steering 4. Lock diffs 5. move weight forward, ie. batteries, elecs. 6. extend wheel base and use larger, narrower tires. 7. see article on home page

I was contemplating on triming the steering stop cylinders but Im not sure what kind of stress that would put on the "u-joints" a the knuckle. Do you have or can you get some pics of what you trimed/cut off. | |
