| Lengthening a TXT
i would like to extend my txt to 14 or 14 1/2 inches. Does anyone know what the correct measurements would be to make the links? Also will the Cantilevers links need to be lengthened as well? |

No, your canti links will not have to be lengthened. I streched my TXTs WB to 15.25" with the stock links and it works awsome. You just need to relocate the chassis mounting point further out on the end of the chassis then cut the bottom portion of the chasssis off. 1 hour at the absolute most. |

I heard Viagra might help. It will also maintain the extended length for long sustained periods of time! |

It is always better to have extended length on your link. Just ask Dirk. I'd give a serious answer but I dont know jack about TXT's. Only clods. |

Is that simple enough Relocate them further up and away from each other on the chassis (which will stretch the WB), then hack the bottom portion of the chassis off. It would be nice if I had a Digi Camera! | |

That is a great way to do it. The optimum way is to make custom links and mount them at the very edge of the chasis at one mounting point. The links need to be almost identical in length if you do this. It will lengthen your wheel base and get rid of most of the torque twist.

Dirk, Which part of what you metioned will reduce the torque twist? The single mounting point or the longer links? Ive never really noticed the infamous torque twist while crawling. The only time that I really got to see it was when I was having a pulling comp with my buddies Emaxx crawler and I was just pulling him around on 3 tires and the front driver side was about 6 inches off the ground. It was pretty funny to see 8O . |

Dirk, can you call me on my cell regarding those custom links? I have a question about the lower link length. Thanks, Badger |

could you post a pic showing what you mean by moving the links up on the chassis?
