Default 17" what a difference!!!

This is one of those cases where size really does matter. I was unhappy with my 14" wheelbase, so I ordered some new links, drilled a few holes and ta da! It feels like a whole new truck. I have 80 weight oil in the shocks now, because of the old setup and torque twist. I think I should go down to 40 now? Think that's OK? There is no twisting at all anymore.

4" Clearance
18" Wheelbase
Rear Locked diff's
Crawls almost over anything.

Changing the tires would probably make a difference on that too, but I like my Big Joes. I clear my Mini-T easily now!
Thanks to everyone for the great ideas that are always at everyone's disposal here.

Looks good
I think the 17" Wheelbase is right on the money for a TXT.
It seems a little tall though - looks top-heavy.
Id probably drop it down a bit.

Tuck all the stuff you have on top of the frame, into the frame, then drop the body onto the frame.

Yep, but when you get bored of that happening, and you've got no place near you to go wheelin, you'll be back to the 14'r. You'll be back!

exactly what I was going to say but I would lower your C.O.G. to 4 1/4 for even better climbing

Looking good, But I can tell you a lot of things you could do to make it crawl better.

Looks good, but one question. With the shocks at that angle, do they not bind up?

I get no binding, that I notice. But i do notice that the axles do get caught up on rocks and stuff. I need to put a skidplate in the front so it'll slide instead of getting stuck. I'm really happy with the setup and just might change the shock angle.

Besides I just bought this a few days ago. It's on the kitchen table and all I can do is stare at it till I get my bearings from RC4WD.
