Default tube chassie qusetions

first off, new to the fourms so hello

I'm gonna try to build a tube chassie for my txt here pretty soon, any sugjestions on what type and size of tubbing to use? i was thinking of useing fule lines for a car?? Also how should i go about joining them? solider,tig weld??

my goal for the truck is to make it look like the grave digger, im gonna try to make the chassie as close to the real truck as possable, i got a bunch of pics of the digger so i should be able to get pretty close.

1st welcome to the board.

I use brake line 3/16" or 1/4". I like the 1/4" on the larger axled crawlers but it's your call really.
As for joining them I braze them. Using a mapp gas torch and Harris Safety Silv 56 or 45. If you use solid rod I'd tig weld it but it can also be done with a brazing method.

Search around and you'll see plenty of questions like this being answered. I also posted a place to get the safety silv if you can't find it locally in the tools and procedure section.

3/16 is pretty good. I finally bought a 5 spool package of the solder, got it for 65.00.

im in the process of building one now and im using 1/4. tried using 3/16 first but the 1/4 is much easier to work with
