Well first off I want to say Hi. I have been looking a lot on the forum and just recently joined. I use mainly for reference and I like looking at everyones pics. Lets get things started. I started this project in June 04 and this is as far as I have got. I am slowly, very slowly but surely getting this thing done. I got this tremor chassis off ebay and I just recently recieve the axles from Clayton. It took 4 months and a ton of money to get these axles not to say the least. It is nice I got 2 sets of them. Anyways this is all I have for now. With out further adue(sp?) on with the pics. Let me know what you think

hack up the beautiful frame

That's a good looking RACING chassis.... now, sell it for a crawling chassis.

bruiserin2002 02-10-2005 09:32 PM

OK OK. I know it isn't a crawling chassis. I am getting one made. It should be done by the beginning of March.

Beautiful truck, but like toyo says, it's not a crawler. Make your own chassis and experiment with your own setup options.
BTW, where did you get those axles? They look killer (not to mention more expensive than my whole truck)!

I also realize that the last post I made wasn't very constructive. Try checking out some of the chassis ideas from Dirk or one of the production Rockraider chassis that Toyofast makes for inspiration. Your current truck is quite breath-taking, but I would cry if I scratched it. And crawling is prone to rock rash. Lots of rock rash. Good luck with your build up!

Claytons?

Whoa.

Those are some serious axles-did you get yours with the torsion diffs?

Radish Thanks for the suggestions and comments. I am in the process of making a crawler. It is just the time and money thing. The axles I got made by Clayton over at Vertigo Performance. I have always admired them and finally he offer them up again after he discontinued to have them made. It was more of a money thing with getting them made. Too much money to make them and too much for anyone to want to buy them. They sold for $900 when he first was making them and I paid more than that. And I have 2 sets. Well anyways back to the crawling. What kind of motors do you use?

radishkid 02-11-2005 03:55 PM

I prefer lathe motors (integy 55t) or kyosho magnetic mayhems with gd600 gear reductions.
