Ya, you're going to get a lot of torque twist with that set-up.

here are some more views. i realize that the truck will squat but i have two shocks in the front. I am having a hard time locating the rears. they really rob the trucks ability to twist

well you dont really need much articulation. i would only run about 75*

(Noob question) Where did you get you'r rear steer?

Rear Steer Is With
 

The rear steer is with aluminum mounts for airtronics 358 200oz servos and a JR xr3. i put a screw in the third channel button to allow easy use of the indenpendent rear steer. I can steer it if needed or crab walk or turn very tight in spots that would not be climbable (spellcheck) . I have a 1:1 custom competition jeep based crawler.we were at an event ProRock 2 in Florence AZ where there was a spot that no rig was able to climb until a rig called Bulldozer set up for the climb it had raer steer and was able to drive right up the spot like it was a road. Rear steer is a awesome tool if you can master how to use it and have a strong enough servo to lock the steering stright when not in use

i would get some savage shocks on the rear of this truck and dont put the spring on them.and you will get reid of torque twist. but leave that spring on there also.

Where should i mount the sav. shocks? Do i need to set it up like rocktpus with the extended shock mount.A photo would be helpful

How do you think it will get rid of the torqe twist by mounting savage shocks without the springs and only having the center spring?

Just ask yourself this: How is this set up going to help? What are the benefits over a traditional set up?

everone is so worry about torque twist all the time when you are crawler. sometime it hurt and sometime it helps you.ejeep i dont have all the anserw for you you will have to play with the location of the shocks.try to keep it laying down like at a 45% . and put about 90 wt oil in them.Wannabedigler ever txt out there is runing the some set up. let try something new. let promo differnet set ups.because if it doesnt work he can go back to the traditional way.

I'm all for trying new things....I think I've proven that! :flipoff:


However, you always have to ask yourself.....how will this set up work better than any other set up? .....or you are just waisting time. It's like saying, "I'm going to run buggy tires instead of monster truck tires because no one does it and it's different. There is no benefit but I'm going to try it." If there is no benefit, don't waste time and money doing it.
In closing.....I hope he tries it and I hope it works but in my opinion, looking at the idea and thinking about it, there is no benefit. I think it will hurt overall performance. But that is from just looking at the design. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!
