Well, It's pretty slow here at work so I made a tranny skid plate for my truck. I've got the pattern for the servo mount, just need to cut it out and test fit.

Well I'm still working on the servo mount haven't much time lately. I'm also waiting on some taps. Not sure what the deal is there. Just got my ESC, replacement spur gear for the crawl box, Radio came in the other day. So as soon as the taps get here I can get this thing to run, hopefully.

Oh and going to the Metal Shop to get some plate alum. for the servo mount. I made one but it's too thin @ 1mm thick.

Well I've got the majority of the rig done. front steering is in, radio is in, new CJ8 body is painted and on, Looks great. I've got some pics but can't get the posted. Any help would be great.

I'm having some issues getting it running. I'm running the novak XRS, futaba r133f receiver with a old stock race motor with capicitors. I charge up a battery and try and crawl and it won't climb anything. It just binds up. When I pick up the truck it goes fine. I'm confused. HELP!

All right everything is working good. I had my first break on friday. I pulled the rod end off the the front upper susp. link. Then snapped the plastic mount for the lower. Got that all fixed and being wheeling since. I love this RC crawling stuff. Less preparation, less clean up, less worries about not being able to get home, NO GAS BILLS, RC Crawling ROCKS!

Please keep us updated on the Integy Motor... I curious if it has more torque and runtime compared to the Mag Mayhem.

Thanks,
Joe

Well I can't compare it to a mag mayhem. I'm currently running a 27t touring car motor but with a 9t pinion and a gd 600 crawlbox @3.8:1 it works pretty good. I think I'll change the box to 2.5 and to a pinion to 15t when I swap motors.

Kona Joe love your rig 69-72 Chevy pickups have always been cool.

Well I got a hitec 645mg yesterday at my LHS. I kept killing the gears in the S3003 futaba servos in the rear steering. This seems to work a lot better. I'll order a front one next pay day.

I'm thinking I'd like to try and narrow a set of tires but my LHS doesn't have the black CA glue you all talk about. Can someone get me a link? Maybe you Dirk?

Oh and I bought Ofna's aluminum servo horns and the work great. They're a little longer so no more binding and NO flex at all.

rckjeep,

where did you buy the Ofna servo arm? I see one on Tower but it is purple. Tower part # LXBVS8.

I would like to get two of them for my TXT but do not really like purple. I am not gay like some of the people on this board!
(I hope you did not buy the purple)

Thanks.

John, I ordered them from some place in michigan. But at my LHS they have them in a few colors. $5.95 each I think they had them in red, blue, gold, and your favorite purple. I bought gold, gotta have some bling bling right?

I'll grab a couple for ya if we hook up soon and you can pay me then. Let me know

Well today I installed the Integy motor and changed my gd600 crawlbox from 3.8:1 to 2.5:1. It didn't change much. still slower than hell with a bit more torque. I'm thinking I may just run the Integy motor with my 9t pinion.

Thanks to Badger, I also reversed the motor wires to put the battery up front. I'll try and wheel it tomorrow as is. I'm really suprised it's so slow going from a crawl ratio of 213:1 to 140:1 any words of wisdom?

Anyone?????
